This is absolutely for Stage 1 students!
There is a very small gap between the Stage 1 and Stage 2 exams. Creative writing is not something you can master overnight. It takes time. My creative writing course runs over Years 4 and 5 for this very reason.
The course will also ensure children are prepared for the five-year journey GCSE journey they will start in Year 7. Creative Writing makes up 50% of the language paper at GCSE!

Of course! Students receive both mandatory and optional homework each week, as well as bonus holiday activities. Homework is all marked by me with in-depth actionable feedback provided for every piece.

Sessions take place weekly in term time. Get in touch today to book your place.

Your child will write a minimum of 160 pieces over the two-year course. Many children write up to 300 pieces! There’s no upper limit: I will provide (and mark!) as much work as your child wants to complete.

Everything from plays to poems, from concrete poetry to sonnets, from letters of complaint to blogs to agony aunt columns to non-chronological reports to myths to autobiographies to recipes to horror stories! We’ll cover all the key genres and key topics needed so that your child will be prepared no matter what exam day throws at them.
